Registration and certificate of title required
S. 1301

Drivers required to be licensed
S. 1501
(a) general rule- no person, except those expressly exempted shall drive any motor vehicle upon a highway or public property in this commonwealth unless has valid drivers license.
(b) persons in towed vehicles- can’t operate a vehicle being towed unless certain license
(c) limitation on number of licenses- can’t have a license unless you surrender one from another state.
(d) penalty- summary offense (a) fine of $250 unless other circumstances
Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked
S. 1543
(a) offense defined- except as provided in subsection (b) any person who drives a motor vehicle on any traffic-way while having a suspended/revoked license, summary offense of $250
(b) certain offenses- if on ARD program it is treated and fined differently
Required financial responsibility
S. 1786
(a) general rule- every motor vehicle of the type required to be registered under this title which is operated or currently registered shall be covered by financial responsibility
(d) the department of transportation shall suspend the registration of a vehicle for a period of three months if it determines the required financial responsibility was not secured
Operation following suspension of registration
(a) Offense defined.–A person commits an offense if the person knowingly and intentionally flees on foot from a public servant attempting to lawfully arrest or detain that person.
(b) Grading.–An offense under this section is:
(1) A felony of the third degree if a person flees or attempts to evade arrest or detention for an underlying offense that constitutes a felony or misdemeanor and another person suffers serious bodily injury as a direct result of a violation of this section.
(2) A felony of the second degree if a person flees or attempts to evade arrest or detention for an underlying offense that constitutes a felony or misdemeanor and another person suffers death as a direct result of a violation of this section.
(3) Except as provided under paragraph (1) or (2), a misdemeanor of the second degree if a person flees or attempts to evade arrest or detention for an underlying offense that constitutes a felony or misdemeanor.
(4) Except as provided under paragraph (1), (2) or (3), a summary offense.
