Time Critical Actions Flashcards
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for Cross-tie Aux Feedwater?
40 min.
The control room supplying will close there motor operated valves to there units steam generators, and the test line reg-valve. Then the operator in the field will close the manual operated test line valve in the unit being supplied, and open that units FW-129 to supply water to that units steam generators.
To maintain ability to cool the RCS.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for Manually starting Aux Feed?
30-min
In Aux building open breakers for MCM-221 & MCM-231. Open the TDAFP Control Bus Feeder DCN-6. Remove fuses for TDAFP Trip & Throttle valve. In the TDAFP room determinate and jumper wires in cabinet (determinate wires that have yellow tags with red letters. and jumper wires that have yellow tags with black letters.). Then back in the Aux building close DCN-6. In the TDAFP room check the trip and throttle valve latched(if not manually latch by rotating the hand wheel clockwise.)
This facilitates feeding the steam generators.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for cross tying charging?
40-min from plant announcement of CR being evacuated due to fire.
Verify all CVCS cross-tie valves are closed, Slowly open CS-536 from the unit that will be supplying charging. Slowly open CS-534 to the unit that will receive charging to maintain pressurizer level.
Maintain RCS inventory control.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for closing RCP Seal return lines QCM-350?
15-min
Declutch and close QCM-350 in vestibule.
so you don’t steam bind the charging pumps.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for Locally restoring power to ECCS?
restore power to one Charging or SI pump in 10-min and an additional Charging or SI pump in 30-min.
Restore Red striped clearance or LTOP administrative control tags.
Maintain RCS inventory
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for locally vent / depressurize RHR Pumps?
30- min
Close DR-321 pump casing drain valve, close RH-106EW telltale drain valve, Open DR-320, Open RH-106, Open RH-106EW, close drain valve and manually open IMO-390.
Prevent hot water from flashing to steam when aligning to RWST.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for condenser pit flooding?
10-min from the time you receive high alarm.
Attempt to isolate source.
To protect the diesels from flooding.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for checking Control Room ventilation dampers aligned
20-min
manually align dampers ( need tools in red tool box)
Protects control room operators from air toxins.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases to cross tie CCW?
90-min
you want to restore CCW on a train that has an available Charging pump.
Protect safety related pumps.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for Establish makeup water to RCS following the declaration of an ELAP?
One hour.
use fire water or lake water mixed with water from RWST, BAST, or BART.
Ensures RCS makeup is available during a ELAP.
What is the Time, Manual actions, and the bases for Partially blocking open upper air lock doors?
10 min.
block open the upper containment personnel airlock inner and outer doors and disabling open the submarine hatch through the crane wall allowing upper and lower containment air volumes to communicate.
To avoid exceeding containment design pressure of 12 psig.
What is the Time, and the bases for complete deep DC load shed?
One Hour.
This is to extend battery life.
What is the Time, and the bases for removing containment isolation fuses?
16-min.
This fails closed containment isolation valves and takes power off so they cant reopen due to a hot smart short.
What is the Time, and the bases for Placing an N train battery charger in-service after power has been restored?
20 min.
Ensures operation of the TDAFP.
What is the Time, and the bases for locally trip and isolate PZR heaters?
17 min.
To Prevent a HOT SMART SHORT.
