When would you implement the EDM procedures?
When events either make CR Non-functional or incapacitated the CR staff.
In-term command until ERO becomes functional.
Who is initially in charge?
The most senior operator. Could be SRO, RO, AEO.

What are the dose exposure limitations?
- 5 REM Whole body for damage assessment.
- 10 REM Whole body per incident for the protection of valuable equipment.
- 25 REM Whole body per lifetime for life saving activities.
- Site Emergency Coordinator permission has to be obtained prior to exceeding one of these limits.
What is 10 CFR 50.54X?
It states that a licensee may take reasonable action that departs from a license condition or a tech.spec. In an emergency when action is immediately needed to protect the public.
What are the three categories of equipment status for damage assessment?
Available - No apparent damage.
Damaged - Minor problems that can be corrected without special parts/tools.
Destroyed - Major problems.
Where would you set up command and control?
North basement classroom or fire protection trailer.
What assumptions does the EDM’s make?
- The initiating event occurs without warning.
- The initiating event occurs at a time of minimum staffing.
- loss of access to the control room complex.
- Loss of all equipment, supplies, and personnel normally in the control room complex.
- Loss of all AC and DC power required for operation of the plant.
- The work control center SRO and the Tour AEO’s remain available.
