How can where you live affect the sports that you take part in?
If you live closer to sports facilities, you are more than likely going to participate in that sport. In the same way that if you live far away from some sports facilities, you wont be able to participate in the sport that is played there.
How does the ‘Cost’ of a sport affect participation in that specific sport?
For some sports, expensive equipment is required. So if someone cannot afford to pay for this equipment, they cannot participate in that sport. You may have to pay for;
Equipment, Membership as well as travel.
How is ‘Social Class’ related to participation in some sports?
Sports such as polo are associated to the wealthy, ‘upper class’ people. This makes these activities become status symbols. Other sports such as Football are usually associated with the ‘working class’
