Sort - Eliminate what is not needed and keep what is needed. Get rid of non-value items makes spaces available n improve workflow
Simplify (Seiton)
Position things in such a way that can be easily reached whenever needed and easily stored whenever done
Shine Sweep (Seiso)
Keep things clean n tidy daily, no contamination in work area
Standardise (Seiketsu)
Remove variations from processes by developing standard operating procedures n checklists. Maintain order n cleanliness
Sustain (Shitsuke)
Develop a commitment and pride in keeping to standards, review work periodically to recognise efforts and motivate to sustain progress

Signal to upstream station for next container of material to be delivered to downstream station
