Fire extinguisher (halon)
Correct number and location;
Secured in brackets;
Pressure gauge in the green band;
Black safeguard is in place (wire seal is intact).
Used for extinguishing ALL types of in-flight fires.
7-8 seconds.
2 metres.
Location 1 FWD LHS Overhead Locker; 1 under FWD R1 crew jump seat; 1 under AFT L2 crew jump seat; 1 Flight Deck RHS bulkhead.
1 under AFT R2 crew jump seat.
Crash Axe (AXE)
Correct Number and Location
Flight Deck RHS Bulkhead.
One blade edge and one spiked edge;
The handle is insulated to prevent electric shock.
Fire Gloves (FG)
Correct Number and Location;
Left and Right glove present;
In good condition.
1 pair in the Flight Deck RHS Bulkhead;
1 pair in the DGK located in the ERK.
Protective Breathing Equipment (PBE)
Correct Number and Location; Secured in brackets; Tamper seal is intact (white); Yellow seal is ¾ cut and not broken; Container is not damaged. approximately 20 minutes
2 FWD LHS Overhead Locker;
1 AFT LHS Galley Bulkhead;
1 AFT RHS Galley Bulkhead;
1 Flight Deck RHS Stowage Compartment.
Life Jackets – Passengers (LJ) and Crew (CLJ)
Passenger Life Jackets are yellow in colour;
Crew Life Jackets are orange in colour;
Correct number and location of spare adult Life Jackets;
Correct number and location of each Crew Life Jacket;
Bag sealed.
Passenger Life Jackets
10 AFT LHS Overhead Locker (Spare Adult Life Jackets);
1 Adult Life Jacket under each passenger seat (180).
Crew Life Jackets 1 under each crew seat in cabin; 1 AFT of Captains headrest rear of seat; 1 AFT of First Officers headrest rear of seat; 1 under observer seat in Flight Deck.
Infant Life Jackets (ILJ)
Correct Number and Location;
Bag sealed.

Portable Emergency Locator Transmitter (Elt)
Correct Number and Location;
FWD RHS Overhead Locker is packed in a yellow bag;
L2 is secured in brackets;
In the “ARMED” position.
Location
1 AFT LHS Bulkhead next to L2 crew jump seat (in brackets);
1 FWD RHS Overhead Locker (in yellow bag).
Sea - tether to raft or person, self deploys
Land - highest point, on position,
aural and flashing light every 5 seconds
Portable Oxygen Cylinder (O2)
Correct Number and Location; Secured in brackets; Minimum pressure is 1500 PSI (pounds per square inch); Dust covers are in position; No oil or grease on fittings; Oxygen bottle is with mask.
“HI” Flow - 4 Litres per minute/60 minute
“LO” Flow - 2 Litres per minute/120 minute

2 AFT RHS Overhead Locker;
1 Behind Row 30 D, E, F on lavatory bulkhead;
2 Behind Row 30 A, B, C on lavatory bulkhead.
Megaphone (MEGA)
Correct Number and Location; Secured in brackets; Depress the trigger button (an aural clicking) 1 FWD RHS Overhead Locker; 1 AFT RHS Overhead Locker.
Torch (T) – Cabin Crew
Correct Number and Location;
Secured in brackets;
Red light flashing does not exceed intervals of 10 seconds. (If no flash present or the flashing exceeds intervals of 10 seconds, the unit is unserviceable);
Plastic seal in place.
Lasts for approximately 4 hours.
1 under each cabin crew jump seat in cabin.
Torch (T) – Flight Crew
Correct number and location;
Torch lamp illuminates when tested;
If no lamp light the unit is unserviceable.
1 next the Captain’s seat (outboard);
1 next to the First Officer’s seat (outboard).
Seatbelts
EXT

Correct number and location
Every seat
Clasp is working properly;
The webbing belt is not frayed;
Either the tongue or clasp is not missing;
FWD LHS O/H Locker 10 x each EXT and INFANT
Infant Seatbelt (ISB)
Correct Number and Location.
10 Infant Seatbelts in FWD LHS Overhead Locker.
Extension Seatbelt (ESB)
Correct Number and Location.
10 Extension Seatbelts in FWD LHS Overhead Locker.
Initial Treatment Kit (ITK)
Correct number and location
FWD LHS Overhead Locker.
