Secrete parathyroid hormone which increases blood Ca++ concentrations

Hyperthyroidism
A
Overproduction of T3 & T4
Increased metabolic heat = decreased weight. Warm sweaty skin
Increased muscle protein catabolism resulting in muscle weakness & weight loss
Increased nervous system activity resulting in hyper-excitablility of reflexes, irritability and insomnia
Increased Heart Rate resulting in fatigue & difficulty regulating blood
Restless, Goiter, Diarrhea
