Graves is diffuse tracer uptake , toxic multinodular goiter is heterogenous

Graves has very high RAIU, whereas Subacute Thyroiditis is low RAIU (usually <3%)

A

Chloride 10- binds more avidly to the oxygen molecules on the t-99m and allows it to be reduced….where it can then therefor bind in the body.
