A

Inherited or acquired coagulopathy that predisposes people to thrombosis

A

Normally find out that you have thrombophilia after having a blood clot

  • Stroke at young age
  • Repeated miscarriages
  • Pregnancy problems
  • MI

A
  • After having DVT or PE
  • After pregnancy
  • Have to be off anticoagulants for 3 weeks +

A

Gene affects factor V which makes it not able to be broken down by protein C
- This prolongs the clotting process
