Clinical features of threadworm infection?
A
Intense perianal itching especially at night
May be asymptomatic
May see small white thread-like worms on perianal skin or stools
Genital area can also be involved in females

Management of threadworms?
A
Single dose of anti-helminthic like mebendazole
Rigourous hygeine measures for 6 weeks:
Shower each morning esp perianal area
Change bed linen and nightware daily for several days after tx
Dust and vacum surfaces
