Supine (upper)
Same as cervical but use a longer lever for self
Sidelying
Patient facing you
Cradle hold (flexion, sidebend, extension)
Prone (segmental)
Patient lies with head on arms folded
Extension- push into sp
Sidebend- push into side of tp and roll leg
Rotation- hold under elbow and lift elbow up
Flexion- circumduction of shoulder
Sitting (tspine and ribs)
Extension (press into side closest to me, and reinforce) head in arms
Flexion (don’t press) head In arms
Sidebend and rotating (push into opposite side) can do head in arms or arms behind head
Can also do segmental by ribs. Push down little bit per segment
Ribs supine
Contact on Sp t2 and then spring rib 1 by pushing into gap above clavicle and then rib 2 spring below clavicle
Wash the dishes- hold elbow and other hand is on rib that’s examining only to 3/4. As you move down ribs, lower arm
Sawing
Phone hold (sternocostals)
Stand at top of couch and push down into ribs
Rib Sidelying
Sawing
Springing
Push into side of ribs while holding shoulder up
Rib head push in and sidebend
Stuck in inhilation- push into ribs while push arm up above head
