What is a Joint Stock Company?
The Virginia Company was a Joint Stock Company, they sent men and supplies to North America. The Joint stock companies got people to make an investment and hoped to pay them back and more in return.
What is Jamestown?
It was the first English settlement, built on a peninsula in 1607.
What were the problems with Jamestown??
Leadership Problems, the Colonists didn’t know how to survive, and it was a swampy location, where Mosquitos carried diseases
