Low potassium foods
apples, peaches, carrots, green beans, white bread/pasta, white rice, rice milk, cooked rice and wheat cereals/grits, apple, grape, cranberry juice
Myasthenia gravis
A disease of muscle weakness. Can be caused by different types of antibodies blocking muscle receptors for acetylcholine or thymus producing these antibodies.
BASICALLY, caused by breakdown in communication between nerves and muscles.
S/S include: weakness or arms/legs, double vision, drooping eyelids, difficulties with speech, chewing, swallowing, and breathing.
