What is an exception to the thermal expansion rule?
A
Water - between the temperatures of 0 C and 4 C as heat is supplied to it the volume decreases.
Above 4 C it follows the thermal expansion rule

Most bodies expand when supplied with heat energy (are heated), and contract when cooled (loose heat energy)
