Usually used after SURGERIES and PROCEDURE , FOODS THAT ARE “ SOFT” IN TEXTURE TO DECREASE nausea, diarrhea and gas bowel
Transitional Diets
Foods that are liquid at room temperature such as Clear , juice fruit fkavored beverages, broth, tea and gelatin dessert. DOES NOT INCLUDE MILK- BASED LIQUIDS
Clear Liquid Diet
When do we use Clear Liquid Diet
Pre & Post - Operatively , acute episodes of nausea and vomting ro promote bowel rest. HELPS PREVENTS DEHYDRATION AND RELIEVES THIRSTL
Immediately post the surgery the patient will drink only clear liquids, WHICH ARE EASIER TO SWALLOW AND LESS IRRITATING. PATIENT EXPERINCE PAIN ON SWALLOWING FOR AT LESST 7-10 DAYS AFTER SURGERY
Tonsillectomy Diet
Designed for patients who have kidney diseases, whether patient is on dialysis or pre- dialysis
UREMIC DIET
For patients with Cardiovascular illnesses. Limits red meat, cheese, whole milk, butter and egg yolk, as well as high sodium foods
Cardiac Diet
Diet for Diabetuc patients to help control blood sugar levels and avoid complications
Diabetic Diet
For individuals diagnosed as having Celiac disease.
Gluten Free Diet
For individuals who are lactose intolerant . Excludes milk products
Lactose Free Diet
