Justice
Bringing about what is right and fair according to the law
What is reconciliation?
A sacrament in the Catholic Church; also when individuals/ groups restore friendly relations after conflict/ disagreement
Protest
An expression of disapproval, often in a public group
Violence
Using actions that threaten or harm others
Terrorism
Unlawful use of violence usually against innocent civilians in order to achieve a political goal
Weapons of Mass Destruction
Weapons that can kill large numbers of people and/or cause great damage.

Christian Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament
A group of Christians in England attatched to larger campaign (CND) with aim to disarm all WDMs
What is ‘Just War’ ?
Is a war which meets all accepted criteria of fairness

What is a ‘Holy War’ ?
Fighting for a religious cause or God
The Crusades
Between Christians and Muslims, both sides believed God was helping them win and get the promised land
Peacemaker
Someone who works to establish peace in the world or a certain part of it
Anglican Pacifist Fellowship
Christian pacifist group that believe peace and justice should be brought through non- violent means
Caritas
Catholic organisation whose mission is to serve the poor and promote charity and justice throughout world by providing response to those suffering through conflict by reducing suffering
