  • William paley’s theory that a watch is complex and intricate and so must have a designer, he uses this analogy to compare it to how the world/earth is so intricate that it must also have a designer ; god

  • cannot be scientifically proven
  • someone may be mistaken or lying
  • could have been mental problems
  • could have been hallucinations
  • visions should not be needed to prove gods existence –> religion is about faith and so hardcore proof shouldn’t be needed
