To be able to look after the elderly members of their family. It is a sacred action and should be done with patience, respect and kindness

- Some Muslim women suffer prejudice and discrimination such as wearing a hijab, driving, education and voting in some countries
- This may be due to different cultural practices rather than teachings in the Qur’an

- Muhammed had many wives which was customary at the time. Originally the reasons were to protect widows and women
- Islam allows for one man to have many wives, only under certian circumstances
- A man can only have multiple wives if he is able to love, support and treat them equally.
