Q

Embezzlement

A

the fraudulent conversion of;
the property of another;
by someone who is already in lawful possession of it (or by someone to whom it has been “entrusted”).
“Conversion” means some act that seriously interferes with the owner’s ability to use the property. Conversion does not have to be for the D’s benefit.
Fraudulent–Mistaken claim of right, or intent to return, negates specific intent of “fraudulent.”
