How does personality type link to the type of AMs recalled?
A
McAdams (1982) found that individuals with a strong intimacy motivation recalled more memories with intimacy themes whereas individuals with a strong power motivation recalled more memories with strong themes of power. Personality might also drive the type of experiences that a person actually has. Effect might, then, not be one of memory alone.
