The Water Cycle Flashcards
Water Cycle
The repeated movement of water through the earth in different ways
Evaporation
The changing of liquid water to water vapor
Condensation
Water vapor turns into a liquid water;clouds forms & dew forms.
Precipitation

Transpiration
When a plant absorbs water in its roots
Fog
A cloud at ground level
Cumulus
Mid altitude;small,white,puffy balls;bring fair weather
Stratus
Low altitude; look like a gray blanket on the sky; bring light drizzle
Cirrus

Rain
Starts as snow then turns to raindrops as air temp goes above freezing
Hail
Strong winds blow raindrops onto the top of the cloud, when the cloud gets to heavy it precipitates
