All Biotic and Abiotic factors that surround an organism.
Adaption
A structure of behavior that allows a species to survive.
Species
Organisms of the same species have the same general physical characteristics and other adaptations.
Community
Organisms that live together in an ecosystem.
Biotic
Living things in an organism.
Abiotic
Non-living things in an organism.
Niche
A role that species play in it’s community.
Ecosystem
An area in which living and non-living things interact.
Population
A community contains many different kinds of populations of organisms
Habitat
The place in an ecosystem in which organisms live.
Biome
Regions of the world with similar climate,animals,and plants.
Taiga
The coniferous forest is the largest land biome on earth.
Deciduous Forest
The deciduous forest has 4 seasons.
Tropical Rainforest
The Tropical rainforest is closest to the equator and is wet and warm all year long.
Grasslands
The weather varies greatly and is cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
Desert
Deserts can be both hot and cold with very little rain fall.
Tundra
The Tundra is the coldest biome on earth and can reach temperatures of -50 F.
Decomposer
An organism that consumes the dead.
Carnivore
Organisms that get energy from eating producers or other consumers.
Producer
Organisms that use the Sun’s energy to make their own food.
Omnivore
Animals that eat both plants and animals.
Herbivore
Animals that eat only plants.
Carnivore
Animals that eat only meat.
Food web
A group of interconnected food chains.
Food chain
Transfer of energy through a series of organisms that use each other as food.
