What is precipitation?
A
Water that falls to ground (rain, hail, snow)

A
Water that falls on land often flows as streams and rivers

A
Rainwater that soaks into soil and pass slowly through rocks

A
Plants/trees soak up water through roots in order to grow, some of this water is returned to air from leaves

A
- water on earths surface is passed into atmosphere
- this is invisible
- Liquid water found in Sea turns into water vapour as it passes through air

A
- Once in air, water vapour rises and cools
- begins to condense
- then turns from vapour into water droplets forming clouds
