Gangster ran the place because they did the dirty business like organising the illegal stuff

The kkk were white supremacist because they thought black America people didn’t belong in America.
The KKK was based in the south of North America
The aim of the group was the WASPs (white Anglo-Saxon protestant)
Made objective of the KKK was violence and to strike fare to black people “ they were taking their jobs”.
Who were the people that didn’t benefit from the boom?
Farmers- with new technologies, farmers couldn’t afford big machinery to supply the supply and demand of companies
Immigrants- immigrants move north to find more jobs but as they move north jobs paid less
Old industries- coal industry suffered as new forms of power e.g. coal, gas and electricity became more popular and were safer to use and easier
Black people- Black people was struck down because of the KKK was designed to kill black immigrants and stop them from taking their jobs. Black people move north just to survive from the KKK
Why did the USA fall into depression in 1929?
Overproduction- mass production markets was saturated with all the products. After Americans bought their cars, radios, vacuum cleaners and other customer goods, the demand for fell. Factories were forced to produce fewer goods, which meant cutting workforce.
Unequal distribution of wealth- by 1928 many American families live on less than $2000 a year which was barely enough to survive. During the boom years more than half of Americans ‘lived below poverty line’.
Tariffs policy- in the 1920s America supplied many other countries across the world. As America film depression many other countries fell and pression as well.
