Why would being head of church solve his problem for wanting a son ?
Catherine of Aragon wasn’t giving him any sons and there were signs that she wouldn’t have one so Henry wanted a divorce but the pope wouldn’t allow it so if he was head do church he could get a divorce , marry a another women and hopefully have a son

He wanted to be powerful in Europe and he could get loads of money by closing down the monasteries and and take the churches tax

He could make up his own rules and decide how his church should be run
How did Henry become the head of the church ?
By closing down all the monasteries so the pope couldn’t run them and he signed a form declaring that he should rightfully be the head of church
Why were the monasteries closed ?
Because the pope was running most of them which meant he owned a lot of land therefor he was getting a lot of money and if Henry shut them down he would get the land and the money
