- the bacteria yersinia pestis inside a fleas saliva
- when the flea bit an animal or a human it would pass on the bacteria and cause the animal to have the bubonic \ pneumonic plague
At what time of the year was the bubonic plague more dangerous and why ?
In the summer because the fleas would multiply quicker in the summer and die off in the cold of winter
