The Tripartite Struggle was a constant struggle for the dominace of north India (particularly Kannauj) between three powers of 8-10th century. They were namely, Pala, Gurjara-Pratihara and Rashtrakutas.

Dharmapala now had control of Kannauj and held darabar. but, pratihara power revived under Nagabhatta 2, he defeated Dharmapala near Mongyr.
