Matthew 3:16 (Jesus’ Baptism)
‘As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him’
Matthew 28:19
‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’
2 Corinthians 13:14
‘The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you’
God the Father
Creator of all that he has made. Like Jesus did in the Lords Prayer ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name’-Matthew 6:9
God the Son
Jesus is the saviour. He is a role-model to Christians. They follow the example of how he came into the world to teach people how to live a life of goodness, love and faith. He died to take the punishment for all the sins of humanity. They show appreciation of the sacrifices Jesus had made by praying.
God the Holy Spirit
It is Christians comforter and guide. It lives in their hearts and enables them to live good lives, make the right moral choices and praise and worship God. The Holy Spirit is also all around them, it surrounds them.
