The Tribulations Flashcards
How long is the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation, and when do they begin?
They occur over two periods of 3 ½ years, beginning after Israel signs a covenant with the Antichrist.
What will the Antichrist accomplish during the first half of the seven-year tribulation period?
He will focus on conquering the world while allowing sacrifices in the temple. The Jews will live in peace but not the gentile world.
What is the significance of the 144,000 Jews during the Tribulation?
They will be sealed and evangelise, leading to a worldwide revival.
How does the Great Tribulation differ from the initial Tribulation?
The Antichrist will turn against Israel, breaking the treaty and desecrating the temple, leading to intense suffering.
What does Daniel 12:11 say about the desolation period?
It mentions an abomination of desolation for 1,290 days, aligning with the timing of the Great Tribulation (3.5 years)
How does scripture describe the intensity of suffering during the Great Tribulation?
Matthew 24:21 & Daniel 12:1- there has been and will be none like the suffering that is to come
What are some reasons why the Tribulation cannot yet have occurred?
The temple has not been rebuilt, Israel has not resumed sacrifices, and the Church has not been raptured.
What does Revelation 13:8 say about those who worship the Antichrist?
All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life….. illustrating the spiritual corruption during the Great Tribulation.
