What was the Rhineland?
The Rhineland was an area of land between France and Germany (on Germany’s border) that was demilitarised.

An area of German land that was given to Poland to grant them access to the sea and sea trade.
What happened to Germany’s colonies in Africa?
They were taken away to be controlled as mandates by the League of Nations; however, they were mostly ruled by Britain and France.

It was given back to France after Germany took control of it in 1871
What was the Saar and what happened to it?
The Saar was Germany’s industrial area and it was given to France as an insurance policy to ensure that Germany paid their reparations

The Anschluss was the union of Germany and Austria during the First World War.
What did the TOV prohibit in terms of the Anschluss?
One of its terms was that Germany was never allowed to unite with Austria again.
