Jamestown was run by leaders chosen by the Virginia Company. Later, the residents elected their own representatives.
What was King Phillip’s War about? How did it end?
King Philip’s war was between New England colonists and Native American tribes, primarily the Wampanoag, led by Metacom/King Philip.
It ended with the capturing and enslaving of the Wampanoag and the killing of Metacom.
How did people in New England make money?
They profited off of selling fish, whale timber, and ships.

A Quaker is a protestant who believed all people were equal in the eyes of god.

They made their money from cash crops like Grain, animals, and dairy products.

They made their money from tobacco, rice, and indigo, they were able to produce so much because of slavery.

The Middle Passage was a dangerous journey across the Atlantic Ocean on slave ships

A set of laws that governed slaves and treated them as property, not humans.
