Why did Bacon rebel? Describe the events of his rebellion.
Bacon’s Rebellion happened when 300 to 400 Virginian settlers, led by Nathaniel Bacon, rose against Governor William Berkeley.
Bacon was frustrated because the government was not protecting settlers from Native American attacks and did not allow them to have a say in decisions.
He felt he could not take action against Native Americans, so he took matters into his own hands and began attacking them to show his disagreement with Governor Berkeley’s policies.
