Why was there a shortage of workers during the Second World War? (2 reasons)
Conscription and no women workers.

Non essential goods were being produced, and equipment wasn’t standardised.

Equipment and resources - they could no longer just order it from industries.
Who under a new decree did Speer punish and why?
Manufacturers who made false claims for labour and materials.
What did Speer’s rubber stamp say?
“Return to sender - irrelevant to the war effort”
A train trip compelled Speer to make what order?
That all unnecessary metal inside trains such as coat hangers and railings should be removed and sent for scrap metal.
What two things did Speer press for in the workplace?
Night shifts and women workers.

To stop them from creating “empires” and make them contribute to the war effort.
