How could you talk about the UK teachers’ labour market
A
-Demand for teachers is relatively wage inelastic
-Teachers lobbied for a new rule which made it compulsory for all teachers to have at least a university degree
-Over the past few years, there has been a shortage of teachers in STEM subjects
-Teacher strikes have been quite often due to concerns over pay not being in line with rises in inflation
-Contain a trade union (National Education Union)
-Wage inelastic demand for teachers
