  1. Judicial review limits power of executive and stops them going beyond their powers.
  2. The supreme court can declare acts of parliament incompatible with HR act.
  3. Increased number of judicial review-limiting elected governments power.
  4. Juducial review works within the boundaries of acts of parliament.
  5. The court cannot force the government to take action strike down an act of parliament.
  6. More evidence shows number has levelled off and judicial review has a positive impact.

  2. Judges challenging the government
  3. Bias- unelected, upper class, male, white judges.
  4. Ministers usually uphold the independece.
  5. Judges recognise limits to their power.
  6. Judicary becoming more diverse-this should increase.
