A
A habitat is the place where a plant or an animal lives (and is also the local area of study)

This helps to give an overall impression of the area being studied

What are the methods of identifying plants and animals?
A
- Gent an expert to name them for you in the habitat.
- Use guidebooks, photographs and diagrams.
- Use an identification key.

What rules must be followed when collecting organisms in an ecosystem? (5)
A
- Follow the countryside code
- Only collect an organism if necessary (can’t identify in the habitat).
- Return organisms to the habitat if possible.
- Leave the habitat as you found it.
- Beware od dangers such as deep water, waves, thorns, stinging insects, bulls and aggressive dogs.
