When the scientific, democratic and industrial revolutions pushed people to think about society in new ways.
Democratic Revolution
1750, basically democrstic society repoaced a nondemocratic society
- people control socoety
- people are responsible for organizing society
therefore human intervention can solve some suicidal problems
- societal change can happen in a short amoujt of time
Industrial Revolutoion
1780
transition to new manufacturing processes, namely more industrial
creating a lot of new societal changes, child labour pollution overcrowding
presented social workers with pressing new social problems
