What consists of the appendicular skeleton?
composed of arms and legs, and also the pectoral girdle and pelvic girdle
How many cervical vertebrae are there?
seven on the superior spine
How many thoracic vertebrea are there?
12 in the center of the spine
How many lumbar vertebrea are there?
5 on the inferior portion of spine
How many sacral vertrebrae are there?
4 fused on the pelvis
What is another word for the coccyx ?
tail bone
How many sets of ribs do we have? describe the classifications.
12 pairs of ribs. both true and false ribs, part of the false ribs are floating ribs.
On the other side of the axial skeleton we have the Appendicualr, How many bones consist of this skeleton?
126 bones consist of arms and legs, including the pectoral girdle.
