A place where everyone can share ideas , each political party holds a private meeting called a caucus

What is the senate
A
It is the upper House of Parliament and is independent ofthe HOC,
It appoints it’s own speaker and runs their own affairs

What are the rules of being a senator
A
You must be at least 30 years old
Live in the province/ territory they represent
They can serve until they are 75
You must own more that $4000 or more worth of property

What is the main role of the senate
A
To provide a final check on bills passed in HOC
They also handle sensitive issues that the HOC chooses not to get them self involved in
