-Antony decides to march to gaul to try and beat Decimus Brutus and gets beat
-Octavian shows up to beat Antony but instead turns to Brutus
-he marches to battle with the consuls Hirtius and Pansa who die in the battle which suetonius reckons was engineered
-Octavian demands consulship with his 8 legions even though hes 19 which they give him

-Antony and Octavians 27 legions against Brutus and Cassius
-the caesarians have no supplies so attack early destroying the 19 legions theyre against
-B+C have high ground but cassius fless the field making brutus think hes dead so he kill himself and then on returning cassius does the same

-in agreement with octavian antony went east to raise funds and partied in asia minor, greece and ephesus being known as the ‘new dionysus’
-went to egypt and met with cleopatra as she had helped cassius and he needed the treasures of ptolomy
-cleopatra becomes his mistress to strengthen her rule in egypt and kill her sister arsinoe an then did not seen antony in 4 years

-parthians invade syria and parthini invade macedonia and negotiate terms with octavian at brudisium who makes his HQ athens with his new wife Octavia and conducted his wars
