-> material things that come into place -> to keep us physically/spiritually connected with Christ -> guide us in order to lead us to heaven -> represents Christs historical acts

he himself decided to take, become flesh eg body of Christ(to give us salvation)

Are Gods way of bringing us back to him and giving us the grace we needed for salvation, they are part of “Gods human improvement project“, he works to restore, heal and strengthen us so that we can return to him

What is grace?
is God's life within us-> not only a gift but also an invitation to participate in his divine life; we receive grace thru the sacraments, we need to be willing to accept them ; grace helps us start over

Salvation comes from Jesus, Why?
God loves us and sent his son to show us the way back home (heaven), if we recognise we can't do this alone and accept his help through sacraments that are his salvation tools

someone who has passed and gone to heaven, examples of virtue and can pray for people on earth aka role models

Born in Thagaste, Roman North Africa(modern Nigeria), previously followed a hedonistic lifestyle(party goer) but converted to christianity under the influence of his mother Saint Monica + Ambrose -> became bishop of Hippo and considered doctor of the church and in shaping medieval christian doctrine Born 354 AD, Died 430 AD
