A

Many years after the she wolf found them, a Shepard discovered the boys and took them to Rome so that one of them could be king. They killed their uncle and went to the auguries to decided which man would be king.

How did the empire develop?

A

It started as a kingdom with Romulus being the first king.
The kingdom ended when Etruscan decided to become leaders and introduced hereditary causing complete monarchy and tyrants of the kings

The republic began and a senate was created. The senate governed Rome.

The Roman Empire was established after the republic fell apart. The empire was too big to be ruled from one point so the emperor at the time divided Rome into an eastern and western empire. The separation was not successful so Rome went back to one.

A

When 3 military leaders got together and formed an alliance because they wanted more power than everyone else. The 3 intended to control the senate.

A

A

After the death of Crassus and then Pompey in the war, Julius Caesar became the sole emperor of Rome

A

The day that Julius Caesar was assassinated. Led by Brutus and Cassius they gathered some senators for the assassination

A

The assassination of Juilus Caesar led to 3 civil wars and the rising of the second triumvirate. It also resulted in the end of the republic.

A

Juilus Caesar’s nephew and heir Octavius

Mark Anthony and Lepidus (2 of Caesars friends)

What happened to Octavius during the war?

A

After defeating all of Caesars enemies, Augustus and Anthony turned on each other to battle for the ultimate rulership. Octavius won.
