Who was Henrich Himmler?
By 1936, Himmler was in charge of the whole police apparatus (SS). In 1939, he became the Commissar for the Consolidation of German Nationhood, which gave him ultimate control over Nazi racial policy

In 1933 he became Minister of Enlightenment and Propaganda

In 1933 he was given government posts where he established the Gestapo. In 1935 he became Commander in Chief of the Luftwaffe (Air Force).

He was put in charge of the SA, but was murdered in a later purge of the SA in 1934, known as the Night of the Long Knives.
Who was Rudolf Hess?
An early party member and long-standing secretary to Hitler, Hess was Deputy Leader of the Party from 1933-1941. He had limited real power but helped to develop a more influential and organised party bureaucracy.
Who was Reinhard Heydrich?
He became Himmler’s deputy in 1933 and in 1939 was appointed head of the Reich Central Office for Jewish Emigration
