what is the right to protection against abuse and harm?
is when owners, managers of health and social care homes make sure that those in their care are safe from anyone who might hurt them.
what is the right to consultation?
is when care workers ask another person for their own opinion, listening to other people’s point of view and giving or obtaining information.
why is the right to equal and fair treatment important?
because if they are given more treatment than they actually need, it can cause them to have serious injuries, but if they are given less treatment than they are meant to have, they can fall ill or in the worst scenario they can die.
why is the right to choice important?
because the service users would feel empowered and they would feel like a normal person even if they had dementia.
what is the right to confidentiality?
is when service users have the right to have their personal folders or important information kept safety away where no one can access them unless the service users gives their permission to know.
what is the right to equal and fair treatment?
when patients are given the care they need.
what is the right to choice?
when the service users are allowed to make their own decisions such as; what to wear, activities to do etc.
