What is the structure of the RICS?
RICS is governed under the terms of its Royal Charter, by various councils, boards and associations.
The Governing Council is the highest governing body, setting the strategy for the organisation and ensuring it fulfils its obligations under the Royal Charter.
The Standard and Regulation Board, Management Board and various committees all report to the Governing Council.
There are 17 professional groups covering property, land and construction, each of which has an elected board responsible for outlining standards of competence and practice.
