It is evidence of the divine nature of Jesus
Proves that Jesus is the Son of God
Provides hope of eternal life
Shows God’s omnipotence through victory over death
What is the Ascension?
The belief that Jesus, after meeting his disciple for the last time, told them to carry on his messages and teachings, before leaving earth and rising to heaven to join the father
Why is the Ascension significant?
It shows that Jesus really had overcome death - he wasn’t resurrected to die again, but to live forever
It signifies the completion of Jesus’ work
