What is the structure of Red Blood Cells?

A

Semi - permeable lipid bilayer with proteins scattered throughout . There is a central hydrophobic layer containing proteins, cholesterol and phospholipids. The outer layer is hydrophilic composed of glycoproteins and proteins. The inner layer of hydrophillic mesh - like cytoskeletal protein to support lipid bilayer.
