link to other turning points

A

this link because it contributed to tensions of World War II, showed Japanese brutal strategies, cause from the battle of Shanghai and anti Japanese sentiment. International criticism + a need of response to Japanese aggression. A horrifying impact of civilian population shaped international connections and broaden Chinese and Japanese conflict and rocketed tensions leading to the US entry into the war via Pearl Harbor as well as chasing justice for war crimes post World War II. The rape of Nanjing has also been considered by many theorists that this is what started World War II before Germany invading Poland
