why was the buffalo important to plain Indians

A

main source of food. Ate raw and cooked and dried with berries. used for supplies to make clothing, tools, utensils, and shelters. Used the skins for moccasins, blankets and clothing. Made water bags from stomachs. Used the hair to make cords, made needles and other tools from bones and horns.

Cheyenne Indians

A

Nomadic indians who live in the western part of the Interior plains. they moved from place to place following the buffalo. they built shelters that were easy to move. they did not farm in the grasslands because the short grasses had tough roots that the sticks could not break the soil, They made travpois carriers had a buffalo skin that hooked onto a dog that carried goods

A

they had 10 groups that were separate from each other. each group send a leader to meet in a council of chiefs. all people who equal in the group.
