used to build boats and houses called longhouses. Houses were sometimes 60 feet long. the door faced the ocean. had frames made of wooden piles and planks were used to cover the walls and floors
why was wood useful to them
they made dishes, spoons and other utensils. Made ceremonial masks used in storytelling. Made totem poles representing animals or spirits.
